About
Amber Lane started as a group chat between four friends who kept sending each other screenshots of levels we couldn't beat. At some point we figured we should just write things down properly, and the site grew out of that habit. We cover mobile titles across every genre, from slow puzzle games to loud racers.
Everything here is based on hands-on play. We don't review a game until someone on the team has put real time into it — usually a week or more, sometimes a lot longer if the game has depth. If we never finished it, we say so.
Games get picked for a simple reason: either a lot of readers ask about them, or we genuinely got hooked and want to talk about it. Sometimes both. We try to mix the big names with smaller things that deserve more attention.
We're a tiny independent team, not a studio or a publisher. That means we move slowly, but it also means nobody tells us what to write.
Clara Hoffmann — Clara has been writing about games for over a decade and still plays on the bus to work. She handles most of the walkthroughs and keeps the rest of the team honest.
