Ironhold Command
★★★★☆ 4.4
Ironhold Command is a base-building strategy game that leans more on planning than reflexes. You lay out walls, towers and workshops across a mountain pass, then defend it against raider waves that get smarter each night. The clever bit is that your layout from the day directly decides how well the night goes.
I loved how readable everything is. You can see exactly why a wave broke through — a gap here, a tower that ran out of range there — and fix it next time. Resource management stays tense without becoming a spreadsheet.
Later maps throw in weather and terrain that force you to rethink old habits. It's a game I kept playing one more night just to try a new wall shape.
